Neelam Sanjiva Reddy was active in the Indian independence movement and later joined politics. He was a member of the Indian National Congress and held various positions, including serving as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Madras State (now Tamil Nadu) and as a Member of Parliament.
Reddy served as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh twice, first from 1960 to 1962 and then from 1962 to 1964. He also held the position of the President of the Indian National Congress from 1960 to 1962.
Neelam Sanjiva Reddy as President of India:
