Mumbai. Everyone’s eyes were fixed on the results of Haryana Assembly elections. The results of Haryana elections also came on Tuesday. Exit polls had predicted BJP’s exit from power and Congress’ return. The election results proved these estimates completely wrong. BJP has emerged stronger. Congress’s desire to return to power remained unfulfilled. Now everyone’s eyes are on Maharashtra. 48 MPs are elected from Maharashtra and in this matter it is second after Uttar Pradesh. Now questions are being raised whether the Haryana election results will affect Maharashtra, 1600 kilometers away? Let us tell you that Uddhav Thackeray has once again demanded to declare the face for the post of Chief Minister before the elections. He also said that whoever Congress and NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) nominate as a candidate, they will happily accept him. Uddhav further said that saving Maharashtra is his first goal. On the other hand, a complete consensus has not yet been reached on seat sharing in Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA).
Along with Congress, Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) and NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) are the main constituents in Mahavikas Aghadi. Maharashtra Assembly elections are likely to be announced soon, while the opposition MVA has not yet reached a complete consensus on seat sharing. Senior Maharashtra Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat said on Tuesday that talks regarding seat sharing among MVA allies are now in their final stages. A clear picture will emerge on this in a day or two. Congress Legislature Party leader Thorat further said that consensus has not been reached yet on 50 to 60 seats of the Assembly. Let us tell you that there are 288 seats in Maharashtra Assembly.
