Koderma. Koderma District Court in Jharkhand, while hearing an important case, has sentenced the accused to death for brutally murdering 6 people of his own family. The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge III Rakesh Chandra found accused Gango Das (30) guilty under section 302 IPC. Also imposed a fine of Rs 10 thousand. Public Prosecutor PP Angelina Barla conducted the prosecution throughout the hearing.
During this period 10 witnesses were examined. During the proceedings, considering the seriousness of the crime, PP Angelina Barala and APP Manoj Maurya urged the court to give maximum punishment to the accused. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief LADC Kiran Kumari presented arguments on behalf of the defense side. The court found the accused guilty after examining all the witnesses and evidence. Also, considering this case as a very serious, very cruel and rarest of murders, the death penalty was fixed.

The accused’s neighbor Madan Das had filed a case at Nawalshahi police station regarding the incident. In the application given to the police station, he had said that on November 26, 2019, he went to sleep after having dinner at around 9 pm. At around 9:45 pm, his neighbor Gango Das, under the influence of alcohol, came with a big knife and rod in his hand and started quarreling with his wife Sheela Devi. During this, in anger he killed his wife with a knife and rod. At the same time, daughter Radhika Kumari (4) and son Piyush Kumar (2) were also killed with a knife and rod. Radhika and Piyush died on the spot.

It was further told that after hearing the commotion, when the accused’s mother Masomat Shanti Devi came to save everyone, Gango Das also seriously injured her by hitting her with a rod and a knife. During this time, the accused also seriously injured his nieces Chandni Kumari and Nitika Kumari by hitting them with rods and knives. When people gathered nearby, he locked himself in a room. He started threatening to kill people if they tried to open it.

After the incident, an ambulance was immediately called and the injured were sent to Sadar Hospital, where Gango Das’s wife Sheela Devi, her 7-month-old child in her womb, his mother Masomat Shanti Devi and niece Nitika Kumari (7) died. At the same time, seriously injured Chandni Kumari was sent to Ranchi for better treatment.
