Before Diwali, smugglers have become active in the country and these smugglers are not smuggling gold and silver but mangoes. Police have caught a truck carrying ripe mangoes in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. This truck was loaded with 42 quintals of Chinese mangoes, whose value is said to be around Rs 16 lakh. UP Police said that 260 boxes of illegal Chinese mangoes have been recovered. All departments have been informed about this and further action is being taken. Police also said that the mangoes were being taken to Delhi and each box loaded with it weighed 16 kg.
A consignment of ripe mangoes being sent from China to Delhi via Nepal has been intercepted by the Nanpara police of Bahraich district. It is being told that the truck number UP 40 AT 1525 was going from Nepal towards Delhi. When the police searched the vehicle, they found a large consignment of ripe mangoes in the vehicle. The truck driver told that these mangoes were being taken to Delhi, but when documents related to mangoes were asked, no paper was found with the driver. After this the police seized the vehicle laden with ripe mangoes.

The value of the caught mango is being estimated at more than Rs 16 lakh. At present, Nanpara police is busy finding out how this consignment was sent from China to India. The Nanpara police team has caught a truck laden with Chinese mangoes near Hada Bashari canal of Kotwali Nanpara, about 20 kilometers from the Nepal border.

Nanpara Inspector Pradeep Singh said that action is being taken as there is no document related to mango. Top officials have been informed. Police said that Bahraich Superintendent of Police Vrinda Shukla has ordered checking to stop crime and maintain peace. For this reason all the vehicles were being checked. Meanwhile, a truck loaded with mangoes from abroad has been seized. The driver of the vehicle, Siraj Ahmed, is a resident of Bahraich.
