Gwalior. An incident of fraud has taken place in the name of Prime Minister’s residence in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. A couple has defrauded more than a dozen people of Gwalior city of more than Rs 14 lakh. The accused named Vinod Tomar duped people in the name of re-sale of houses built under PM Awas Yojana. Vinod’s wife Neetu Singh is also involved in this fraud. Accused Vinod had declared himself and his wife Neetu to be employees of the Municipal Corporation. Complainant Mukesh Singh told that accused Vinod had mentioned about re-selling the Prime Minister’s residence for Rs 2.5 lakh each.
Saying this he took money from many people. When people asked for receipt of money, Vinod also provided fake receipt of Municipal Corporation to all the people. Later Vinod absconded. After a lot of effort, Mukesh Singh and others caught Vinod in Morena. After this they took it to Hazira police station. Here the accused confessed his crime before the police. At that time, he had promised the people in front of the police to return more than Rs 14 lakh. But, the accused has not returned the money till date.

After this, all the people who were victims of Vinod Singh’s fraud reached the public hearing of the Superintendent of Police office. He complained about the incident to senior police officials here. In this case, senior police officials say that strict action will be taken against the accused. The manner in which he has cheated will be investigated and appropriate action will be taken. Gwalior CSP Nagendra Singh Sikarwar said that a complaint of fraud has been received from the female complainant. The accused have also given Municipal Corporation receipts to the people. First we will check these receipts. If the allegations are found true then strict action will be taken against the accused.
