धान की फसल के लिए काल बनी माइट की समस्या, फसलें हो रहीं चौपट, प्रदेश के किसान परेशान

Raipur : Farmers cultivating paddy in Chhattisgarh, which is called the paddy bowl, have to face various problems. These days Kharif paddy crop is being prepared in the state. Before this, farmers were facing a lot of worries. In fact, the risk of insect infestation in the ears of paddy crop has increased. A problem called panicle mite has started appearing in the paddy ears. It is also called red spider. Its outbreak is a cause of concern for farmers. This spider is not visible to the normal eye but it eats the crop at the time of filling the ears with milk.

Dr. Gajendra Chandrakar, agricultural scientist of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Raipur, said that farmers in Chhattisgarh are facing the problem of mite these days. This problem has been increasing significantly in the last three-four years. It does not come under the category of insect and is not visible to the normal eye. Visible with a 20X or 40X lens. It causes damage to the paddy grains.

This disease, which is similar to fungus, destroys the crops of farmers. Due to its outbreak, milking is not possible in the ears. Due to this, crop loss occurs very rapidly. For this, control of mites can be achieved by spraying propiconazole, dicofol, ethion, hexathiox, spiromesifene in the field.

When spraying pesticides, farmers should do one spray at the tillering stage. By applying a spray at the pre-emergence stage, mites can be protected and controlled. To prevent this, it should also be noted that this problem was not there even last year. When this happens it comes into the relaxation zone. As a precaution, if you look in the dark with a mobile torch in a shadowy area, if small spider-like insects are visible, then it means that there has been a mite attack.
