New Delhi. Lakhs and crores of people of the country are benefiting every day from the Digital India campaign. From farmers to housewives and from youth to elderly people are taking advantage of Digital India. On one hand, farmers are getting direct benefits of subsidies and other facilities under the Direct Benefit Scheme, on the other hand, elderly people are getting pension and student scholarships directly in their accounts. Another success story of Digital India campaign has come to light. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given this information through a post on X. PM Modi has mentioned the convenience of getting pension for the elderly.
In fact, a journalist posted on a social media platform and told how Digital India made the path of his elderly mother easier. He wrote, ‘I want to respectfully thank the Digital India program of Modi government. Before today, I myself had never experienced such a facility for senior citizens. After my father’s death, his pension was transferred to my 83-year-old mother. Had to run around a bit in the transfer. Got the benefits of being a journalist. But, in the last 24 hours a miracle happened. Every pensioner has to submit life certificate before 30th October. I felt that now I would have to once again visit any SBI branch in Patna or Delhi. Then I came to know about Jeevan Praman app. In hardly 10 minutes, I had my mother’s Life Certificate at home and within 24 hours it was also updated in the SBI branch of Patna. Mother’s income tax refund was credited to her account within 10 days of depositing the tax. After these two incidents, shouldn’t we thank the Modi government for its digital initiatives? I appeal to all senior citizens to use the Jeevan Pramaan app. Now there is no need to visit any office. There is no need to bribe any broker. There is no need to join hands of any bank employee.
First of all @AjayKumarJourno Yes, my respect to your mother!
I am satisfied that Digital India has eased the way for their pension and it is being very useful to the elderly citizens across the country. This is the biggest feature of this programme. https://t.co/XCJPAgOPjO
