IND vs BAN: India won the second T20I match in Delhi and clinched the series against Bangladesh. India had won the first T20I match by 7 wickets and now after winning the second match by 86 runs, they have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3-match T20I series. Batting first, India scored 221 runs losing 9 wickets. Nitish Reddy and Rinku Singh scored brilliant half-centuries for India.

While chasing India’s score of 221 runs, Bangladesh’s batsmen could not hold on and the entire team could score only 135 runs after losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. In this way India achieved its 28th victory in the year 2024. Now India will have a chance to equal the record of most wins in a calendar year in the next match. Uganda holds the record for most wins in a calendar year. Uganda had achieved 29 victories in the year 2023. This is India’s 9th consecutive win in T20I.

Team India did a big miracle for the first time

India, after being invited to bat first and scoring 221 runs for 9 wickets, restricted Bangladesh’s innings to 135 runs for 9 wickets. Mahmudullah scored the highest score of 41 runs for Bangladesh. Varun Chakraborty and Nitish Kumar Reddy took two wickets each for India. Apart from scoring a brilliant half-century in his second match, Nitish Reddy also took 2 wickets. For this brilliant performance he was awarded the Player of the Match award.

In this match, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav used 7 bowlers. Nitish Reddy and Varun Chakraborty took 2-2 wickets each while Washington Sundar, Arshdeep Singh, Mayank Yadav, Abhishek Sharma and Ryan Parag took 1-1 wicket.
