Indian Test Squad: The Indian team has to play a three-Test series against New Zealand and for this the BCCI has announced the Indian Test squad. Young and experienced players have got a chance in the team. Captain Rohit Sharma has been made. The responsibility of vice-captain has been handed over to Jasprit Bumrah. The special thing is that Yash Dayal, who was involved in the Test series against Bangladesh, has not been made a part of the squad against New Zealand. He did not get a chance in the playing eleven against Bangladesh.
Yash Dayal has not made his Team India debut yet
The RCB team has benefited from Yash Dayal not participating in the Test series against New Zealand. Because Yash Dayal is no longer a part of Team India’s squad till 31st October. He will not be able to play international matches or make his debut and hence will remain an uncapped player. Before the IPL Mega Auction, all the franchises have to submit their retention list to the IPL Governing Council by 31st October.
Can be retained as an uncapped player
According to the report of ESPNcricinfo, the franchises will have to pay Rs 4 crore to retain the uncapped player. At least Rs 11 crore will have to be spent on retaining a capped player. In this way, RCB team can retain Yash Dayal as an uncapped player and they will have to spend only Rs 4 crore. If he had debuted for Team India, he would have been retained as a capped player and RCB would have had to pay more money.
Strong performance in IPL 2024
RCB team had bought Yash Dayal for Rs 5 crore. After this, he performed well for RCB in IPL 2024 and made the team win many matches. Took 15 wickets in 14 innings in IPL 2024. Before RCB, he was a part of Gujarat Titans team, where in the match against KKR, he gave away 30 runs in one over against Rinku Singh. After this, he made a great comeback in IPL 2024 and was successful in impressing with his strong bowling. Yash Dayal has taken 78 wickets in 25 first class matches.
