Before the assembly elections, the era of yatra politics has started in Bihar. First Tejashwi Yadav took out RJD’s Samvad Yatra, then from today Union Minister Giriraj Singh is taking out Hindu Swabhiman Yatra. There is a stir among the opposition parties regarding this journey of Giriraj Singh starting from Seemanchal. While RJD and Congress have targeted Giriraj’s Hindu Swabhiman Yatra, BJP’s ally JDU has also given advice to Giriraj Singh. But the biggest attack on the yatra to be held in Seemanchal has been made by Purnia MP Pappu Yadav. Pappu Yadav said that Giriraj Singh should travel, we have no objection to it. But if any attempt is made to disturb peace and harmony, you will have to pass over my dead body.

journey to unite hindus

The first phase of Swabhiman Yatra starting from Bhagalpur is going to pass through Seemanchal which will be led by Swami Dipankar. Giriraj Singh said that in this yatra, the message of ‘If you divide, you will be divided’ will be given to Hindus and an appeal will be made to leave the caste and strengthen the religion.

Where will the first phase of the yatra start from Bhagalpur and pass through?

  • 18 October Bhagalpur
  • Katihar on 19 October
  • Purnia on 20th October
  • Via Araria on 21st October
  • It will conclude on 22nd October in Kishanganj.

Pappu Yadav challenged

This visit of Giriraj Singh to be held in Seemanchal has been challenged by Purnia MP Pappu Yadav. Pappu Yadav said that if Giriraj had taken out the yatra for development, I would have supported him, but this yatra is being taken out to spoil the atmosphere and harmony. Pappu Yadav has also said that if the harmony of Seemanchal gets disturbed then the yatra will pass through my dead body. At the same time, Giriraj Singh has described his journey as separate from party politics and called it Hindu Self-Respect Yatra.

Giriraj wants to spread unrest- Tejashwi

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, who is out to strengthen his vote bank through travel before the Bihar Assembly elections, also took a dig at Giriraj Singh’s agenda of uniting Hindus. Tejashwi said, while Giriraj wants to spread unrest through the yatra, BJP’s ally JDU in Bihar is worried about its secular image and this is the reason why JDU has reminded Giriraj Singh of the oath taken in the Constitution. However, Giriraj Singh has made it clear that this visit is non-political and has nothing to do with BJP and NDA.
