quota: During the monsoon season, various types of aquatic and wild animals flee towards roads and residential areas. At some places pythons are coming out and at some places crocodiles are roaming on the streets. Similar incidents were seen in Kota, Rajasthan. Last night and this morning the Forest Department team rescued two crocodiles from different areas of Kota. Both the crocodiles were released safely into the dam.
Forest worker Virendra Singh said that around 11 pm on Sunday night, a four feet long crocodile came to Rail Vihar Colony in Borkheda area. He was walking in the stone stock. People got scared after seeing the crocodile. People informed the forest department team about this. On receiving information from Ladpura ranger, the crocodile was rescued on the spot within 15 minutes. A crowd of people gathered at the spot during the rescue.
Forest worker Virendra Singh told that the second incident happened around 7 am today. A 5 feet long crocodile was seen in front of Hadoti Gate in the Army area. The crocodile was sitting near the tire under the army truck. The army soldiers present at the spot caught sight of him. The army officer informed the forest department. On receiving the information, the crocodile was controlled with the help of a rope. The crocodile struggled two-three times and even tried to attack. In about 15 minutes the crocodile was rescued from the army area. Both the crocodiles were released safely into the dam.
Forest Commissioner Virendra Singh said that during the rainy season, with the flow of water in canals and drains, crocodiles got washed away and came to the vacant plots. As the heat increases, water in the plots is drying up. Due to the heat, crocodiles have started coming out. Mostly they come out only at night. Rajpal, Sunil Pankaj, Hariprakash, Amjad Khan forest personnel were involved in the rescue, who rescued both the crocodiles and released them safely in the dam.
