Paytm has got a big relief after getting approval from National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). The company is now offering customers to create UPI ID on its platform. Let us say that the company has started onboarding for UPI users. Users can now easily link their bank accounts and create a new UPI ID for faster payments. This onboarding process is being done in collaboration with major banks like SBI, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank and Yes Bank. Customers can create UPI ID in the following manner.

- First of all, install Paytm app on your smartphone or other device from authentic source.
- Now open Paytm app and enter your mobile number. Verify it with OTP.
- Link your bank account to activate Paytm UPI.
- Select your primary UPI account from the linked accounts.
- Your UPI ID will be created in formats like @pthdfc, @ptaxis, @ptsbi, or @ptyes, allowing you to send and receive money instantly.
How were the financial results?
Paytm’s parent company One97 Communications had a net profit of Rs 928.3 crore in the second quarter of the current financial year 2024-25. Let us tell you, the company had suffered a loss of Rs 290.5 crore in the second quarter (July-September) of the financial year 2023-24. Paytm made a net profit of Rs 928.3 crore in the second quarter. Profit from entertainment ticketing sales was Rs 1,345 crore.
