Four devotees returning from Maa Vindhyavasini Dham died in a road accident. A speeding car rammed into a dumper parked on Varanasi Highway from behind.
Varanasi. Four people died in a tragic accident in the early hours of Thursday in front of Flipkart warehouse near Bihra village of Mirzamurad police station area of Varanasi district of Uttar Pradesh. The car coming from Prayagraj rammed into a dumper parked on the side of the highway from behind. In the accident, four people including three women died on the spot, while a 10-year-old boy was seriously injured.
According to preliminary information, Deepak Kumar Pandey (35), resident of Chandpur Bajrang Nagar of Manduadih police station area, was returning home after visiting Maa Vindhyavasini along with his wife Deepamala Pandey (32), Phulkeshari Devi (55) and an unknown woman. Where Deepak, his wife and Phulkeshari Devi died in the accident, while his son Shivansh Pandey (10) was seriously injured.

The police team reached the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem and injured Shivansh was admitted to BHU Trauma Centre. After the accident, the dumper driver was trying to escape from the spot, but due to the car getting stuck, he left the vehicle and ran away. Deceased Deepak Pandey was the manager of a jeep showroom in Shahababad, Rohaniya.
Chief Minister expressed grief
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognizance of the road accident in Varanasi district. The Chief Minister expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased. He has instructed the district administration officials to immediately take the injured to the hospital and provide them proper treatment. Along with this, he also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
