Famous industrialist Ratan Tata is no more. He breathed his last on Wednesday at the age of 86 at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. He was admitted to the hospital a few days ago. He was admitted in ICU. The news of his demise had also surfaced three days ago, but later he himself rejected it. It was told through social media post that he is absolutely fit and healthy. Celebrities from politics, industry and film world expressed grief over his death.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep grief over the demise of Ratan Tata. PM Modi wrote, Ratan Tata was a visionary business leader, kind and extraordinary human being. He provided stable leadership to one of India’s oldest and most prestigious business houses. His contribution went far beyond the boardroom. His humility, kindness and unwavering commitment to improving our society endeared him to many people. One of the most unique aspects of Ratan Tata was his passion to dream big and make it come true. He was at the forefront in supporting some issues like education, health, cleanliness, animal welfare.

In his official statement, Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran said that Ratan Tata was truly an extraordinary leader, whose incomparable contribution has shaped not only the Tata Group but also the fabric of our nation. For Tata Tata Group, he was more than a chairman. For us he was a guru, guide and friend. Under his leadership, Tata Group expanded exceptionally. Always remain true to ethical standards. He left a deep mark in every field for philanthropy and the betterment of society. The leadership shown by him in every sector, be it education or health, will benefit the coming generations.

Ratan Tata’s full name was Ratan Naval Tata. Ratan Tata, born on 28 December 1937 in Mumbai, was the son of Naval Tata and Suni Commissariat. When Ratan Tata was 10 years old, they separated. He was then formally adopted by his grandmother Nawazbai Tata through the JN Petit Parsi Orphanage. Ratan Tata was raised with his half-brother Noel Tata (son of Naval Tata and Simon Tata).
