Pilibhit. For the past few years, Pilibhit Tiger Reserve of Uttar Pradesh has been getting new recognition at the national and international levels. Recently, the veterinary officer of Pilibhit Tiger Reserve and a tiger friend have been honored by the Wildlife Institute of India under Wildlife Week for their excellent services.
Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, spread over approximately 73000 hectares in Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh, is becoming famous in the world due to the continuously increasing number of tigers and the huge size of the tigers. On one hand, this increasing number of tigers is making Pilibhit famous in the country and the world, while on the other hand, it is also becoming a cause of trouble for the villagers living in the areas adjacent to the forest. Due to this, conflict situations are seen between humans and wild animals in Pilibhit every day.
Dr. Daksh Gangwar honored
Despite all this, it is not having any adverse effect on the conservation of tigers. Dr. Daksh Gangwar, Veterinary Officer of Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, an expert in successfully rescuing the wildlife that had strayed from the forest and reached the populated areas in various areas across the state including Pilibhit, was recently honored by the Central Forest Department in a program organized at the Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun. And Jitendra Kumar, Director General and Special Secretary of the Environment Department, honored him with a citation. Along with this, the Special Secretary also honored Vinod Prajapati of the Tiger Friends team, who proved to be an important link in the human-wildlife conflict.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also praised
This is not the first time that Dr. Daksh Gangwar, Veterinary Officer of Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, has been honored for his work in the field of wildlife. Earlier, Dr. Daksh has been honored by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, PCCF Wildlife (Uttar Pradesh).
