Sultanpur. Central and state governments are running many schemes for self-employment. Under this, the government also gives grants for setting up enterprises. In this context, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India, is running the Self-reliant India campaign in partnership with the Central and State Governments.
Under this scheme, the Prime Minister’s Micro Food Industry Upgradation Scheme is encouraging people to set up bamboo related industries. Subsidy up to Rs 10 lakh will also be given for the establishment of this industry. Interested persons can take advantage of this to promote cottage industries in rural areas.
Government will give loan under PMFME scheme
Food processing units, small scale enterprises, FPOs, SHGs and producer cooperatives are eligible to apply under the PMFME scheme by the Department of Food Processing Industries. Whereas the applicant must be an Indian resident and those persons who have completed 18 years of age and have at least 8th pass are eligible for this. District Horticulture Officer Ranvijay Singh told Local 18 that the government has started the scheme to promote the food sector and domestic industry. Under this scheme, the government provides financial assistance to companies to expand their business. For this, PMFME scheme is being run. In which the applicant gets a loan up to Rs 10 lakh from the government and the central government also gives subsidy up to 35 percent on it.
Government is providing help for bamboo industry
District Horticulture Officer Ranvijay Singh told Local 18 that the Prime Minister’s Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme is a government scheme of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries. Its objective is to provide financial, technical and economic assistance to micro food processing enterprises.
