The rainy season is going. And election season is upon us. First the rain created a ruckus. Now there is an uproar in the electoral arena. There is a flurry of allegations and counter-allegations.

Cloudy rain is blowing somewhere. So Mian’s Malhar is somewhere! All three rounds of voting have been completed in Jammu and Kashmir. Now there is only waiting for the results.

Well, no matter who wins or loses here… And whoever forms the government, the increase or decrease in voting percentage is a good sign for democracy. However, after all the phases of voting in Kashmir are completed, now all the leaders and their focus will be on Haryana for a few days.

However, here also the time is only two days. Campaigning is going to stop in Haryana also on 3rd October, because voting is on 5th October.

Meanwhile, major political parties have started laying the electoral tables in Maharashtra and Jharkhand. After Kashmir and Haryana, the biggest and more interesting contest is going to take place in Maharashtra. However, the results of this time’s assembly elections may be slightly different from the Lok Sabha elections. Jaranga Patil of the Maratha movement has cooled down at the moment.

How much damage they will be able to cause to which party cannot be said at the moment. However, Jarange Patil has been getting hidden support from one or the other faction of both Maha Vikas Aghadi and Mahayuti. This is the reason that this time after the Lok Sabha elections, Jarange’s influence seems to be reducing to some extent.

Whichever party wins in Haryana, it will get new energy in Maharashtra. After all, past successes in politics often prove effective in the next arena. Well, whatever be the election promises, no one is concerned about the real poor here. No one knows the condition of that common poor. No one even wants to know.

He spends innocent hours sitting at night, waiting for the next morning and the next night after that. An empty window in the empty wall of his house is now his capital. That window has been deceiving him for months, years. The light comes in and goes back out on its own. He keeps trying to fill that light in his chest. But the attempt is not successful. The light cannot stop anywhere.

After all, in a democracy, there is no other way to achieve light except elections! But the truth is also that the dawn breaks not just because of any election, it breaks because of the sobs of that poor person, who slowly keeps gnawing the darkness all night long!
