Market. The Directorate of Education has finally given orders to shift the primary school being run in the building of Dev Shri Balakameshwar in Bhagwahan Mohalla in Mandi city of Himachal Pradesh. After a long fight of 20 years, the Devta Committee is now going to get its building.
In fact, for the last 52 years, the Government Central Primary School was being run here on rent by the Education Department. However, this building has become dilapidated for a long time. To renovate this building, the temple committee had demanded to vacate the school and for this the Devta Committee had to fight a long battle with the education department.
A few days ago, the Directorate of Education has decided to shift this primary school somewhere else in the city. Dev Samaj and Dev Shree Sayari Balakameshwar Committee have expressed happiness over this decision of the government and the Directorate of Education. On Wednesday, members of Dev Shree Sayari Balakameshwar Committee and people of Dev Samaj met ADM Mandi Madan Kumar and raised the demand to vacate the school soon and shift it somewhere else. These people of Dev Samaj say that during Shivratri, 7-8 Gods and Goddesses stay here and throughout the year also, Gods and Goddesses come and stay here.
Children were in danger
Due to this, the people of the Dev Samaj and the servants of the Gods face many difficulties here. On top of that, this building is now dilapidated, due to which teaching small children here is not free from danger. After shifting the school from here, the temple committee will renovate the building, so that the people of Dev Samaj do not face any problems in the future.
