Anti Romeo squad deployed for those who tamper with Durga Puja pandals and temples DGP Prashant Kumar gave special instructions to the police to stop the miscreants.
Lucknow. Guidelines have been issued by the UP Police regarding Durga Puja, Mahanavami and Dussehra in Uttar Pradesh. Anti Romeo Squad will be deployed everywhere to ensure that there is no tampering of any kind in puja pandals and temples and that miscreants do not try to spoil the law and order in any way.
These instructions have been given by DGP Prashant Kumar. In the instructions issued by the DGP, it has been said that Anti Romeo Squad will be deployed around Durga Puja pandals, temples and Dussehra fair, so that no one can be molested or misbehaved with. Not only this, police will be deployed in box format in the Durga idol immersion procession. Police will remain on the roof top at sensitive places. Police, PAC and divers will be deployed on the river and ghats during idol immersion. Instructions have also been given to deploy fire brigade at the place of Ravana Dahan.
Social media will be monitored 24 hours
The DGP has also given instructions for 24-hour monitoring of social media during this period. He has said that strict action should be taken against rumours, objectionable and inflammatory posts. He has given clear instructions to the police that no untoward incident of any kind should happen. You have to especially keep an eye on social media. He has also appealed to the people to maintain peace.
