The result was that BJP MLA Yogesh Verma was beaten up in front of the police. The video of beating of MLA Yogesh Verma is now going viral on social media.
According to the information, Sadar MLA Lakhimpur Kheri Urban Cooperative Bank was angry over the disappearance of the final list of voters from the information board. Its notice was put up on 4th October. On Tuesday, the MLA had accused the bank employees and the police of rigging in this regard. On Wednesday, once again MLA Yogesh Verma had arrived with a complaint of rigging. Then a dispute started there between the husband of former bank president Pushpa Singh and District Advocates Association President Awadhesh Singh in the presence of police.

Yogesh Verma’s supporters are also present at the spot after the beating. Therefore, the police has converted the area into a cantonment.
