Giving information, the temple officials said that the doors of Kedarnath temple will be closed for the winter period on November 3 this year at 8.30 am. Vijay Prasad Thapliyal, chief officer of Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, said that as per tradition, the doors of Kedarnath temple will be closed for winter on November 3 on the occasion of Bhai Dooj.
It was also told that during the winter season, Lord Kedarnath will be seen at Shri Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath, his winter residence place. Let us tell you that the doors of the four Dhams including the Kedarnath temple located in the upper Garhwal region are closed for the devotees every year in October-November, which are opened in April-May next year.
Let us tell you that the doors of other three Dham Yamunotri will be closed on Bhaiya Dooj while the doors of Gangotri will be closed for winter on Annakoot festival, the next day of Diwali.
