The meeting of Bhima Kali Temple Trust Sarahan was held on Thursday at Circuit House Rampur and Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh also attended the meeting.

Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh said that the website of the temple should be kept updated and information about every activity of the trust should be shared from time to time. He said that many proposals of the Trust have been approved and the Trust will also start a state-of-the-art ambulance facility. Permission to purchase an ambulance was also granted in the meeting. Regarding the subsidence of a part of the temple, Vikramaditya Singh said that during the meeting itself, he had talked to the expert of IIT Mandi through phone and a detailed report would be prepared regarding the subsidence of a part of the temple. Along with this, he said that the joint board of the Trust will be installed at prominent places, which will have brief information about the temples under it.

Let us tell you that a study report will be prepared through the team of IIT Mandi regarding the tilting of a part of the temple building. It was decided in the meeting that a part of the temple has been continuously sinking for the last several years. In such a situation, new construction work or repair work can be done only when experts give their report regarding it. The Public Works Minister directed the Executive Engineer PWD to correspond with IIT Mandi and get a report prepared in the said matter immediately.

The income of the temple was also discussed in the meeting and it was told that till September 30, 2024, the temple trust has earned a total income of Rs 3 crore 96 lakh 84 thousand 264, while Rs 83 lakh 81 thousand 406 has been spent on various development works. . An amount of Rs 6 crore 95 lakh 94 thousand 185 is deposited as fixed deposit in various bank accounts of the trust. It is estimated that Rs 03 crore 5 thousand will be spent annually for the coming financial year. This includes Rs 1.50 crore for repairs and construction, Rs 4 lakh for electricity and telephone bills etc., Rs 5 lakh for temple puja, Rs 5 lakh for Bhandara, Rs 7 lakh for festivals, Rs 1.50 crore for salary and other allowances, house tax and This includes Rs 70 thousand on GST, Rs 1 lakh on office and TA expenses, Rs 03 lakh on scholarship fund, Rs 1 lakh on retirement gratuity expenses and Rs 3 lakh on employees.

Let us tell you that there is a temple of Mata Bhimakali in Sarahan of Rampur, 150 km from Shimla. It is believed that this temple belongs to the Pandava period. However, a temple was built here in 1943. It is said that the body part of Mata Sati had fallen here. Devotees come here in large numbers. Mother Bhimakali is the clan goddess of Virbhadra Singh, former CM of the state and father of Vikramaditya Singh.
