Hazaribagh News: हजारीबाग के 1770 आंगनबाड़ी केंद्रों पर ताला, दीदियां अनिश्चितकालीन हड़ताल पर

Hazaribagh: 1770 Anganwadi centers are locked in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. Children from newborn to 6 years of age are at risk of undernutrition. In fact, since October 5, Anganwadi workers and helpers Didi are on an indefinite strike across the state for their eight-point demands. Since then all Anganwadi centers are closed. More than 38,000 Sevikas and Sahayika Didis are employed across the state. An indefinite strike is being conducted under the banner of Jharkhand State Anganwadi Sevika Sahayika Employees Union.

Leena Sinha, District Minister of Anganwadi Sevak Sahayika Joint Employees Union, says that Anganwadi Sevak and Sahayika Didi are being continuously neglected by the government. Proper salaries are still not being paid by the government. Also, the government is not thinking about the retirement of any didi. Neither is anyone’s PF being deducted, nor will anyone get pension. At least the government should pay minimum wages to maids and assistants. No work will be done until the government accepts the demand.

Problems increased in these things
Since Anganwadi centers are locked, children are not getting nutritious food. Apart from this, vaccination of children below 6 years is not being done properly. Because Sevika Didi helps the ANM to get the children vaccinated. The responsibility of keeping the details of the health of pregnant women and newborn babies is also on the Anganwadi maid Didi.

These are the demands
-The fully submitted application for partial amendment in Notification No. 2238 and 2239 dated 30/09/2022 of the Service Conditions Rules issued by the department should be considered without delay.
-Assistant teachers should get honorarium pay scale equal to assistant teachers. The complexities of increase should be removed so that there is no problem in increasing the annual honorarium on time.
– The amount of honorarium should be paid together in the central share and state share and there should be a system of revolving fund for its timely payment.
– After retirement, a lump sum retirement benefit of Rs 10 lakh should be paid to the maid and Rs 5 lakh to the assistant and 50 per cent of the final honorarium should be approved as pension.
– Anganwadi workers should be promoted to the post of female supervisor on the basis of 100% preference.
According to the order of the Supreme Court, the honorarium discrepancy prevailing among all social welfare contract workers should be removed and Anganwadi workers should also be given permission to pay dearness and traveling allowance. Gratuity should be paid to everyone by giving them the status of full government employee on regular basis.
– For carrying out departmental work, facility of mobile and recharge of branded company should be provided.
– The amount of nutrition in Anganwadi centers should be made available at market rate.
