Cabinet minister Kanwar Pal Gurjar has lost the election from Jagadhri. JP Dalal, who was the Finance Minister in Naib Saini’s government, has also been defeated. Kamal Gupta, who was the Health Minister in Naib Saini’s government, stood third.
New Delhi. Bharatiya Janata Party has got absolute majority in Haryana Assembly elections. BJP has won 48 seats, while Congress is seen getting 37 seats. BJP may have won a landslide victory in Haryana but out of 10 ministers of Nayab Saini’s government, 8 have lost the elections. Only 2 ministers could win the elections. The winning ministers include Mahipal Dhanda from Panipat Rural seat and Moolchand Sharma from Ballabhgarh seat. At the same time, Gyan Chand Gupta, who was the Assembly Speaker, has also lost the election to Chandramohan Bishnoi of Congress.
Sanjay Singh, Kanwarpal Gurjar, Dr. Kamal Gupta, Subhash Sudha, Jaiprakash Dalal, Ranjit Chautala, Aseem Goyal and Abhay Singh Yadav, who were ministers in the Naib Saini government, have lost the elections. Ranjit Singh was contesting the elections from Raniya as an independent candidate. The special thing was that out of eight ministers, three stood third in the elections.

Cabinet Minister Kanwarpal Gurjar lost by 6868 votes
Cabinet Minister Kanwar Pal Gurjar, who contested from Jagadhri Assembly seat, was defeated by Congress candidate Chaudhary Akram Khan by 6868 votes. Akram Khan has got 67,403 votes. Kanwarpal Gurjar has got 60,535 votes. Kanwarpal Gurjar was the speaker in the first term government of Manohar Lal Khattar. He was made a cabinet minister in the second term.
JP Dalal lost from Loharu
In Loharu, minister JP Dalal was defeated by Congress candidate Rajbir Fartia by 792 votes. JP Dalal was made Agriculture Minister when Manohar Lal was the Chief Minister and Finance Minister in Naib Saini’s government. BJP candidate JP Dalal got 80,544 votes, while Rajbir Fartia got 81,336 votes.
Ranjit Chautala remained at third place
Ranjit Singh, who was the Electricity Minister of Haryana and contested as an independent candidate from Raniya, has also lost the election. INLD-BSP candidate Arjun Chautala won from here by 4191 votes. Sarvamitra Kamboj of Congress was at second position. Ranjit Chautala remained at third position.
Kamal Gupta lost to Savitri Jindal
Dr. Kamal Gupta, who was a minister in the Naib Saini government, contested from Hisar Assembly. But they lost badly and finished third. In Hisar, the country’s richest woman Savitri Jindal defeated Congress candidate Ramniwas Rada by 18,941 votes. Jindal got 49,231 votes, Ramniwas Rada got 30,290 votes and Kamal Gupta got 17,385 votes. Kamal Gupta was the Health Minister in Naib Saini’s government.
Aseem Goyal’s defeat in Ambala City
On Ambala City seat, Congress candidate Nirmal Singh Mohra won by 11,131 votes over Aseem Goyal, who was the Transport Minister in the Naib Saini government. Mohra got 84,475 votes, while Aseem Goyal stood second with 73,344 votes.
Local body minister also lost
In Thanesar, Congress candidate Ashok Arora defeated Subhash Sudha, local bodies minister in the Saini cabinet, by 3243 votes. Arora got 70,076 votes while Subhash Sudha got 66,833 votes.
Minister Sanjay Singh was at third place.
Minister Sanjay Singh, who contested from Nuh, also could not win the election and remained at the third position. Congress candidate Aftab Ahmed won here by 46,963 votes. INLD-BSP candidate stood second with 44,870 votes. BJP candidate Sanjay got 15,902 votes here. Sanjay Singh had won the 2019 elections from Sohna seat. This time his seat was changed.
Even Abhay Yadav could not hit the field
Abhay Singh Yadav, who was a minister in the Naib Singh Saini government, has also not been able to win the elections from Nangal Chaudhary Assembly. Congress candidate Manju Chaudhary defeated Abhay by 6930 votes. Manju got 61,989 votes and Abhay Singh got 55,059 votes.
