Actually, Anil Vij has become MLA for the 7th consecutive time. He won by 7277 votes and was given a tough competition by independent candidate Chitra Sanwara. However, now after Vij’s victory, there is a dilemma over his becoming a cabinet minister again. Anil was a minister in the Vij Khattar government for two consecutive terms from 2019 to 2024. During this period, there were frequent reports regarding his dispute with Manohar Lal Khattar. The big thing is that as soon as BJP removed Manohar Lal Khattar from the post of CM in Haryana, Anil Vij did not get a place in the cabinet in the Saini government. Anil Vij continued to stake claim to the post of CM, but BJP never paid heed to this claim.

Let us tell you that six months ago, BJP had removed Khattar in Haryana and Naib Saini had become the new CM. But Gabbar was not given a place in the Saini cabinet. He looked very angry and even left the legislative party meeting. However, before the Lok Sabha elections, Naib Saini had also tried to convince Vij and he had also come to meet him.
Vij wins in a close contest
When the counting was going on on Tuesday, Anil Vij was lagging behind. During this he was also seen singing a song. Independent candidate Chitra Sanwara was continuously leading. But Vij won in Amb. Anil Vij Azad has also won the election from Ambala Cantt seat. On Tuesday, on the question of becoming CM, Vij had said that the high command will decide it and wherever he is sent, he will hit sixes from there.
