The National Conference-Congress alliance has registered a landslide victory in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. So many seats have been obtained that a government can be easily formed there. But meanwhile all kinds of claims are being made on social media. It is being said that BJP has never been untouchable for Abdullah family. Farooq Abdullah’s son Omar Abdullah has also been a minister in Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s government. Just two days ago he also praised Modi government. In such a situation, it is possible that the game may change in Jammu and Kashmir. But can this really happen? How close and how far are BJP and National Conference…
National Conference has been a party which has relations with both Congress and BJP. He has had a sour-sweet relationship with Congress. Farooq Abdullah also ran the government in Jammu and Kashmir with the support of Congress. But later he changed sides. When the government was formed at the Center under the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the National Conference joined hands with the BJP in 1999. Atal ji also made Omar Abdullah a minister in the central government. However, later their paths parted ways. Farooq Abdullah still remembers Vajpayee. From time to time he keeps praising Vajpayee. He has also praised the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi many times.
Atal remembered even 2 days ago
It was only two days ago, when External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar announced to go to Pakistan for the SCO Summit, Farooq Abdullah praised it a lot. He said, this is a good step. We hope that this will improve relations between the two countries. Both countries will think about friendship. I would like to remind Jaishankar that former Prime Minister Atal Vihari Vajpayee used to say that ‘Friends can be changed but not neighbours…’ Borders cannot be changed. Either we remain friends or remain enemies.
What is the use if we come together?
-If National Conference and BJP come together, then National Conference will benefit in Jammu and Kashmir. Because like Delhi, most of the power will be in the hands of the Lieutenant Governor. For everything they will have to go to LG.
,In the current situation, the new state government will be largely powerless. Actually, the super boss in the state will be the Lieutenant Governor. LG’s decision will be final for all matters including law and order, public order and police. This may lead to conflict. If they stay with the Centre, they will get a lot of convenience.
,Secondly, National Conference may also get a chance in the central government. The development of Kashmir that Farooq Abdullah talks about requires a lot of money. Only the present central government can give this budget.
But is this possible, Farooq himself gave the answer two days ago
It is said that there is no enemy in politics. Before the counting, Farooq Abdullah had been making various allegations against BJP. In such a situation, after the exit poll, when Farooq Abdullah was asked about the possibility of alliance with BJP, Farooq Abdullah said, ‘We will not go with BJP. The votes we got in the elections are against BJP. Do you think we will go with them?’ Whoever goes with them will be destroyed. It is clear from this that Farooq Abdullah is clear about the alliance with BJP. But it cannot be said when times will change.
Better than Mehbooba!
Many BJP leaders believe that National Conference is better than PDP. PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti has been talking about separating Kashmir from India and talking to Pakistan. Which BJP never likes. When BJP formed the government with them, the National Conference was quite liberal. Farooq Abdullah proudly says that he is an Indian. He has always been advocating good relations between India and Pakistan.
