Special conversation with Omar Abdullah after election victory
The results of Assembly Elections 2024 have been declared in Jammu and Kashmir. The alliance of National Conference and Congress has got majority in this election. In this election, National Conference has won 42 seats, BJP 29, Congress 6, PDP 3, JPC 1, CPIS 1 and Aam Aadmi Party 1 seat. Seven independent candidates have also won the elections. In this election, Bharatiya Janata Party has emerged as the second largest party in Jammu and Kashmir. After the victory in this election, India TV had a special conversation with National Conference leader Omar Abdullah.
Omar Abdullah said – Thank you to everyone who voted and who did not.
Omar Abdullah Thanking the voters, he said, thank you to those who voted for us and those who did not vote for us and who came out to cast their votes. It will be our endeavor that all of them get a voice through this government. Omar Abdullah said that I had not expected so many seats, especially in the recent Lok Sabha elections, in which I lost. After that I had my hopes dashed. But our voters proved to be wise. The elections have been held, the voters have given their verdict and there is no point in saying anything more. We welcome the decision of the voters and it is our responsibility to give good governance to the people for the next 5 years.
Omar Abdullah said – Maharashtra and Jharkhand are a matter of concern for Congress
He said that what should we talk about the cabinet, there will be a meeting of our legislative party. Then the leader of the alliance will be decided. After this, a date for forming the new government will be recommended by going to Raj Bhavan. This rule is not just of National Conference or Congress. This rule is not only of those who voted for us. This rule belongs to everyone. We will serve the people of Jammu as much as we serve Kashmir. Congress itself will try to understand what lessons can be learned from this election. Haryana is less a matter of concern for Congress than in Jammu and Kashmir. Maharashtra and Jharkhand are a matter of concern for Congress. He said that we never said that we will immediately talk about Article 370 as soon as the government is formed. Whose government is at the center removed Article 370. It is useless to talk to the person who removed 370.
