BJP is going to form government in Haryana for the third consecutive time. In this connection, today former state Home Minister Anil Vij had a special conversation with India TV. He fiercely attacked Congress in the interview today. On the question related to Congress’s power in the state, he said, ‘We did not feel even for a day that Congress will come, we know the pulse of the people. When the reports of the agencies started coming, the workers started demoralizing, then the day the exit polls came, they were showing the power of Congress and our 18 seats.
‘I knew that the government would be ours’
He further said that after this, on that day also I said that the government will be formed by us i.e. Bharatiya Janata Party, for the third time and that too without anyone’s support. On the day when the trends came, the Congress office was decorated, horses had arrived, laddus were being distributed, but for some reason jalebis could not come. That day Rahul Gandhi woke up late, his factory did not start, the consignment of Jalebis did not arrive but everyone was ahead to take credit. Hooda ji was saying that this miracle happened because of my policies, but we knew because we are also political pundits. He has spent his entire life in politics, sitting among people and doing politics. I know the pulse of the people, that is why my mind did not waver even for a day.
Vij further said that we are an organizational party. There are no people gathering at the time of elections, nor are our soldiers given time to go to the barracks, our workers were ready. When I was behind in the elections, I was still happy and I sang songs at that time.
Explanation given on resentment
When Nayab Saini became the Chief Minister, Vij was asked whether he got angry during that time. On this he said that I was not angry last time, when Naib Saini was made the Chief Minister. Anil Vij never gets angry. The correct message does not reach the people and they spoil the meaning. When Manohar Lal was the Chief Minister, I used to ask him to relieve me as I want to devote my time to him, then he would not agree and would laugh and avoid it. When the new cabinet started being formed, I felt that the opportunity has come, now I should take my time lightly, what is wrong in this?
The statement about becoming Chief Minister was distorted
Anil Vij further said that my statement about becoming the Chief Minister has been distorted. Nowhere did I say I wanted to be. This is not the culture of our party and I know that the one who makes the claim is the first one to be thrown out. I have spent my whole life in this party, I had given only one clarification that at the time when Manohar Lal ji was made the Chief Minister, I was the senior most and before that I had opened all the corruption cases of Congress, even then I did not claim. Did. When Manohar Lal ji was replaced by Naib Singh Saini, who was much junior, a discussion started among the workers, why not Anil? So there our officials replied that there is no objection to Anil Vij but he does not want to become one.
‘I will change the picture of Haryana’
He further said that two workers came and fought with me as to why do you refuse. Then I said that I never refused, if I had been given a chance I would have become one. I tried to make it clear that this is not my demand but if the party gives me any responsibility, I will fulfill it. I will change the destiny of Haryana and the picture of Haryana.
I have not had any discussion with anyone regarding the new responsibility, although I have won the Senior Most 7 times and I have started preparations from yesterday to win the eighth time. When the high command talks to me, I am a senior person, I will express my views but I have never refused to take any responsibility. Whenever there is a conversation, there will be an exchange of words, we cannot stop that.
victory due to statement
Vij further said that the moment my statement came, it created a wave in the entire Haryana which agencies were conducting surveys. His surveys started increasing. A leader telephoned me, after which I started giving my explanation and he said, Vij ji, you have done very well. Our seats started increasing due to your statement. Earlier there was discussion that Congress government will be formed, but now discussion has started that who will become the Chief Minister, he will become the Chief Minister only when the BJP government is formed. The discussion itself changed, the entire line changed.
Took a dig at Rahul Gandhi
Anil Vij said that Jalebi has also been industrialized now. Rahul Gandhi has done his PHD from him and now he has set up big factories this time. Many laborers have been recruited but when the result came that day, the laborers could not come. If coal was not put in the furnaces, the jalebis that were supposed to be supplied to the Congress could not be supplied. Now Congress should change its election symbol from hand to Jalebi because this party is also like Jalebi.
What did Bhupendra Hooda and Shailja say when they shook hands?
Vij said that by shaking hands of Bhupendra Hooda and Shailja, they proved that there is something wrong somewhere, when Rahul Gandhi shook hands, they then separated. No party named Congress exists in Haryana, it is just a group of different factions which came closer to each other after seeing the elections. Elections have not been held in this party for 16 years. Even in a democracy, how can a party be run without a democratic way and how will a party which does not have democracy within it, protect the democracy of the country?
Said this even on the complaint of Election Commission
He further said that on the complaint given to the Election Commission, he said that the foundation of Congress is a training school whose headmaster is Rahul Gandhi. There it is taught that all the constitutional institutions of the country are there. Disrespect them, they have used many methods this night. When they lose elections, they start crying that if they lose in Jammu and Kashmir then they say it is okay and if they lose in Haryana then they say EVM is bad. In the morning they started saying that the Election Commission is bad. There are many reasons for the defeat of Congress, now I am saying that this is not the defeat of Congress but the defeat of Bhupendra Hooda.
Bhupendra Singh Hooda and Kejriwal’s government told the Punjab government
Vij said that the farmers are not sitting on our land, they are sitting on the land of Punjab and the government there is that of Bhupendra Singh Hooda and Kejriwal, so why not convince them. If he is a sympathizer of the farmers then why did Bhupendra Singh Hooda not go to him even once. Why did the Chief Minister of Punjab not do it because he wants to keep you sitting and we are taking advantage of you here? It is not a good thing to keep the gun on the shoulders of others. If the gun goes off, then fire it by keeping it on your shoulder. The taste of Haryana’s victory will affect other states too. Now the name of Congress should be Congress Aayi and not Congress Gay.
