Abhinav Kumar/Darbhanga: To control the crowd of devotees and ease the traffic in Darbhanga for Dussehra and Ravana Dahan on the occasion of Durga Puja 2024, the district administration has made special traffic and parking arrangements. The administration has set some rules regarding the movement of big and small vehicles in the city on October 11 and 12. Also, preparations for Durga Puja immersion and Ravana Dahan have been completed in the city.
Bus and vehicle parking arrangements
The district administration has made parking arrangements for buses and other vehicles at the following locations:
Bus Parking:
– Ramnagar ITI College (for buses coming from Baheri)
– Ganj Chowk Petrol Pump (for buses and four wheelers coming from Biraul/Benipur)
Two wheeler and four wheeler parking:
– Kadirabad Bus Stand and Home Guard Commandant Office (University Police Station Area)
– Lakshmeshwar Public Library (Nagar Police Station area, in front of Hasan Chowk Post Office)
– Market Committee** (Mabbi police station area)
– Marwari College Cycle Stand (Kotwali police station area)
– KM Tank Bus Stand and District School (Laheriyasarai police station area)
– Jesus Mary School, Oil Mill, and Diet (Rahamganj, Maula Ganj, and Neem Chowk area)

Some major roads in the city will remain closed during Durga Puja, including:
– Route from Pansari Petrol Pump to Darbhanga Tower
– Route from Subhash Chowk to Darbhanga Tower
– Market Committee/Shivdhara Chowk to Kadirabad Road
– Route from KM Tank to Kali Temple

– No entry will be applicable in urban areas for goods vehicles carrying essential commodities till 2:00 am.
Darbhanga administration has made elaborate arrangements for security during Durga Puja. Grand pandals have been decorated in different areas of the city and police force has been deployed for security. Due to special preparations on the occasion of Durga Puja this time, devotees coming to Darbhanga will not face any kind of inconvenience.
