Pt. Vijayshankar Mehta
Nowadays people associated with religion are found claiming that a large number of people are reaching the temples. There has been a surge in the atmosphere of reverence and devotion. But at the same time, isn’t it a matter of concern that people are taking drugs heavily? This habit has spread further after Covid.
The number of drug addicts has increased by almost thirty percent in the last three years. This is the figure of a country in which temples have expanded tremendously in the last three years. A person takes drugs when he is in bad company, under stress or gets in the mood for extra fun.
Drug peddlers outside the home are targeting fifteen year old children and inside the home, parents are becoming careless towards children of this age. A person takes intoxication so that his racing thoughts stop, but when drunk, the thoughts do not stop, they get scattered, which they consider to be stopped. They enjoy this, whereas they get peace when their thoughts stop. And they will stop from practicing yoga, intoxication creates illusion.
