Bhopal. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut is in trouble after giving a statement on ‘Laadli Brahmin Yojana’. After expressing displeasure on behalf of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, the police has registered an FIR against Sanjay Raut. Sanjay Raut had claimed to stop the funds of ‘Ladli Brahmin Yojana’ in Madhya Pradesh. Crime branch has registered a case in Bhopal.
Madhya Pradesh Police on Wednesday registered an FIR against Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut for allegedly making misleading statements about the state government’s flagship Laadli Brahmin scheme. An officer gave this information.
Deputy Police Commissioner Akhil Patel told PTI that the Bhopal Crime Branch registered the case on Wednesday evening on the complaint of BJP Mahila Morcha district unit president Vandana Jachak and its vice-president Sushma Chauhan. A case has been registered against Raut under sections 353 (2) (disseminating statements containing false information) and 356 (2) (defamation) of the Indian Code of Justice (BNS).
The complainants accused Raut of deliberately giving a misleading statement that the ‘Ladli Behna Yojana’ has been discontinued. It has been said in the FIR that the purpose of this statement was to malign the image of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
