Here, development has been done keeping in mind the needs of children, children, the elderly and the disabled, ranging from play and entertainment. This Jawahar Park is built on 42 acres. The appearance of this park has been changed and developed into a picturesque place. Most of the herbal plants are planted in the park, many people come here for a walk in the morning and evening to enjoy their fragrance. People coming here are charged a fee of Rs 20 as a ticket.

Professor MK Pundir of the History Department of Aligarh Muslim University said that it has been developed at a cost of crores of rupees under the Smart City project. The park’s construction is old, yet it is one of the most popular parks for the residents. Several crores have been spent in making this park smart. The herbal plants in this park have been protected in modern ways. A total budget of Rs 22 crore was proposed for Jawahar Park. This project was prepared by the Civil Engineer Department of Aligarh Muslim University. In the coming time, an open auditorium will be built in the park.

Subhash Chandra Sharma, in-charge of Smart Project of Aligarh Municipal Corporation, further said that the maintenance of this park built on 42 acres in 1950 is currently with the Horticulture Department. The office of the District Horticulture Officer is also built in this park. You can enter this park by taking a ticket of Rs 20. People coming daily are issued a pass for the whole month for ₹ 150. Besides, the nursery of the Horticulture Department is also present in this park.

Park costing crores
Talking to Local 18, Subhash Chandra Sharma said that beautification of all three gates, boundary wall around 2500 meters, path-way of 2.4 meters, open auditorium amidst greenery, modern swings for children, Jugalbandhi of light and sound. The system includes things like a maze made of henna trees, badminton and tennis courts in the sports complex, a 500-meter synthetic track, and landscaping. Some of these are left, which will be completed soon.
