Ratan Tata
After the demise of great industrialist Ratan Tata, many stories related to his life are coming to light. Ratan Tata had established himself as a noble person by taking his family business to new heights. For this reason, there is a wave of mourning all over the world on his demise. Every person is telling a story related to him, when he demonstrated humility, honesty and social service. Meanwhile, one of his statements is also in discussion, which he gave during the inauguration of Tea Hub in Hyderabad.
Ratan Tata belonged to a traditional business family. Despite this, he was always forward thinking. This quality of his is evident from his speech at the inauguration of ‘T-Hub’ nine years ago. In this speech he stressed the importance of encouraging young talents with brilliant ideas. He had said that he represents the new face of India.
Boss did not listen to the youth
Addressing the gathering at T-Hub, India’s largest incubation centre, Tata had said that he had grown up in an environment where if someone had an idea, the boss or manager was not ready to listen to it and there was humility. Said that before bringing the idea, experience has to be gained at the ground level. He had said, “I grew up in an environment where if you had an idea, your boss or manager would politely, sometimes not too politely, tell you to think about your idea before expressing it. Need to gain experience.”
Five years of experience is enough
Tata had said, “You need to work at the grassroots level for five years. After that you can talk. Nowadays enterprises are not like this. Today, enterprise is the ability of someone who may be 20 to 30 years old but has a good idea and needs to find a way to implement it.” According to him, the country has an environment of venture capitalists who listen to the individual and facilities like T-Hub that enable the individual to turn his ideas into reality. T-Hub is an innovation hub that connects startups, corporates, academia, investors and governments. (Input- PTI language)
