Only Congress knows how much and what lessons it will learn from Haryana’s defeat, but its position in the looming Maharashtra elections will not be as strong as it was believed to be after the Lok Sabha elections.
Shiv Sena (Uddhav) has even said that one should learn from Congress how a won game can be lost. Shiv Sena says that if Congress wants to fight alone in Maharashtra, then let us know in advance so that we can make our preparations at our own level.
The simple meaning of this statement is that Congress is not going to get the same share of seats in Maharashtra elections that it was demanding.
It is noteworthy that in some meetings before the results of Haryana elections, Congress was demanding maximum seats in Maharashtra. That means more than the party of Shiv Sena (Uddhav) and Sharad Pawar.
It seems that now that lead of Congress will be lost. Not only Shiv Sena, most of the parties included in the India alliance have given a lot of advice to the Congress.
Someone is saying that due to the weakness of leadership, the Congress leaders of Haryana remained intoxicated with their own arrogance, due to which the party had to suffer the consequences.
On the contrary, BJP’s management was better, hence it was successful in converting defeat into victory. AAP party says that Congress lost Haryana which it had almost won due to overconfidence.
It is a different matter that Congress has lost four-five seats because of AAP party.
Potential Chief Minister of Kashmir Omar Abdullah has also advised Congress. He has said that if the mistakes of Haryana’s defeat are not rectified by proper and in-depth analysis, then Congress may suffer further losses.
Trinamool Congress also did not lag behind in giving advice. He says that Congress has lost due to ego. It is his habit to look down on regional parties. This is the reason why she sometimes loses the game she has won.
Overall, the encouraging atmosphere created in Congress after the Lok Sabha elections will once again derail after the defeat of Haryana.
By the time there will be enthusiasm among the workers, the elections of Maharashtra and Jharkhand will come. Only the future will tell what will be the performance of Congress in these states.
