After Azadpur vegetable market of Delhi, Okhla Mandi is one of the most famous markets. When the team of Local 18 reached Okhla Mandi, the businessman there Mohammad Farman while talking to us told that he has been selling vegetables in this market for 8 years and he also sells tomatoes. When he was asked about tomatoes being expensive, he told that it had rained for only a few months due to which the prices of tomatoes are skyrocketing. Talking about the price of tomato, currently it is available in the market for ₹ 80 per kg, which you will get up to ₹ 120 per kg in any local market. Apart from this, he told that the prices of all vegetables have increased in the market. Due to which everyone from general public to businessmen are facing a lot of problems.

Apple is cheaper than tomato.
Vegetable trader Mohammad further said that at present apples are available cheaper than tomatoes. When he was asked about vegetables being cheap, he told that in the month of Navratri i.e. throughout this month you will get expensive vegetables. In the coming days, the prices of vegetables will automatically fall because vegetables become much cheaper during winter. Let us tell you that the vegetables in Okhla Mandi come from Haryana, Punjab and different states of India.
