The reason for closure of Khatushyam ji temple is due to the formal worship of Baba Shyam. Due to this, Shri Shyam Mandir Committee had issued a letter informing that the temple will remain closed for 18 hours. According to the information, the doors of Baba Shyam’s temple were closed at 10 pm last night.

Shri Shyam Temple Committee Minister Manvendra Singh Chauhan said that after bathing on Amavasya, special worship and tilak adornment of Baba Shyam will be done today. Baba Shyam’s service will be opened today at 5 pm after puja and tilak adornment. Minister Chauhan has appealed to the devotees to reach Khatudham only after the doors of the temple are opened, so that there is no inconvenience.

Baba Shyam will be seen in a new form
Let us tell you that after Kali Amavasya, special worship and adornment of Baba Shyam is done. Baba Shyam gives darshan to his devotees every month in two forms. For 23 days he is seen in Krishna form (yellow color) and for 7 days he appears in the main form Shaligram (black color) to the devotees. In such a situation, today Baba Shyam will be decorated in the form of Krishna and worship will be done.

Now today after Mangala Aarti, Baba Shyam will appear to his devotees in the form of yellow colored Krishna. Let us tell you that the special worship of Baba takes 12 to 15 hours. Apart from this, it also takes about 5 to 6 hours for Shyam’s special adornment. Keeping this in mind, the doors of Baba Shyam’s temple are kept closed for many hours for public darshan.

Who is Baba Shyam?
With the help of hare, Baba Shyam is considered to be the incarnation of Lord Krishna. During the Mahabharata war, Bhima’s grandson Barbarik was going to join the war on behalf of the Kauravas. Barbarik had three such arrows which could turn the entire war. Regarding this, Lord Krishna came in the form of a Brahmin and asked for his head in donation. Barbarik also donated his head to Lord Krishna without any hesitation. Then Lord Krishna was pleased and said to Barbarik, “Barbarik, you will be worshiped by the name of Shyam in Kaliyuga, people will call you by my name and you will become the support of your devotees in defeat”.
