Haridwar: People from all over India perform worship during Shardiya Navratri. Mother is worshiped by observing a fast. It is believed that the fasting and worship of Navratri is not successful unless the girl is worshipped. After the sixth Navratri, people start worshiping girls. Local 18 talked to Pandit ji about this and found out how

Importance of Navami Tithi in Navratri
According to religious texts, Maa Durga comes from heaven to earth to provide welfare to the devotees. Navami Tithi has been given special importance in Navratri. On this day, nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped in the form of girls. Haridwar-based scholar astrologer Pandit Sridhar Shastri told Local 18 that on the day of Navami, nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped in the form of nine girls, whose age should not be more than 8 years.

Classical importance of Kanya Puja
According to the scriptures, the devotees who worship 7 girls on Ashtami or Navami day do not get the full results of Navratri. Just as the nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped for 9 days, similarly worshiping 9 girls on Navami day is considered best. By this worship, one gets the blessings of Goddess Durga and happiness and prosperity comes in the lives of the devotees.

Special coincidences are taking place in 2024
According to Haridwar’s astrologer Pandit Shridhar Shastri, in the year 2024, there is a special coincidence of Navami with Ashtami and Dashami with Navami. Navami Tithi will start from noon on 11 October 2024 and end at 10:57 am on 12 October. In Hindu religion, by celebrating the festival on Oriya Tithi only, its full results are achieved. For this reason, it would be best to worship girls on Navami in 2024 before 10:57 am on October 12. Dashami Tithi will start from 10:58 am.
