Lucknow. Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh can give a big gift to Shikshamitras, instructors and cooks before Diwali. There are preparations to increase the honorarium of 1.40 lakh Shikshamitras, 25 thousand instructors and cooks of the state. This was agreed upon in a meeting of different organizations with Minister of State for Basic Education Sandeep Singh on Tuesday. Minister Sandeep Singh said that the proposal to increase the honorarium will soon be placed before Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
On Tuesday, a meeting of Shiksha Mitra’s organization and instructors was held with Minister Sandeep Singh at Vidhan Bhavan. In this meeting, discussions were held regarding increase in honorarium of Shikshamitras, instructors and cooks, return to the original school, medical facilities and adjustment of families of deceased Shikshamitras. The minister said that things have been positive. The government is serious about the demands of Shikshamitras. A solution will be found by meeting the Chief Minister. The minister said that the decision on the return of Shikshamitras to their original schools will be taken soon. Besides, the proposal to increase the honorarium will also be placed before the Chief Minister.
I get this much honorarium now
In fact, after the order of the Supreme Court in 2017, the government has fixed the honorarium of Shikshamitras at Rs 10,000 for 11 months. Shikshamitra is now demanding honorarium for 12 months instead of 11 months. Whereas the instructors get an honorarium of Rs 9 thousand per month for 11 months of the year. Whereas cooks posted in basic schools get an honorarium of Rs 2000 per month.
