Success Story: बचपन में झेली तंगी, मां के लिए छोड़ी सेना की नौकरी, एक झटके में बदल गई जिंदगी

Success Story: This is the story of Manmohan Singh Rathore. Manmohan is a resident of Bikaner, Rajasthan. His father was working as a driver in Rajasthan Mineral and Mines Department. Manmohan faced financial crisis since childhood, but he never gave up and concentrated on his studies. His early education was at Government Higher Secondary School, Bikaner and he completed his 12th class from City Secondary School. After this he obtained BA degree from Dhungar College, Bikaner, which is affiliated to Maharaja Ganga Singh University.

In the second year of BA, in 2004, he was selected as a soldier in the Indian Army. Army job is everyone’s dream, and Manmohan also fulfilled it with full honesty. But in 2008, a big challenge came into his life. His mother started failing health, and due to his father being posted elsewhere, there was no one at home to take care of her. Taking up the responsibility of the family, Manmohan had to leave the army service, which was the toughest decision of his life.

Struggle for private job
Due to serving the army for only 4 years, Manmohan was not considered eligible for pension. In such a situation, once again the financial crisis surrounded him. After this he started searching for a job from Rajasthan to Delhi, but was not successful. He took IT training in Delhi and after some time started working in the IT industry, but he did not get the satisfaction he was looking for.

Jodhpur trip changed life
A trip to Jodhpur during a family function took a new turn in his life. There he saw Rajasthani handicraft and saw a big business opportunity in this art. He felt that Rajasthani handicrafts could be recognized worldwide.

And Manmohan started giving employment to such skilled people.
Manmohan, who has done a course in digital marketing, decided to start his own online platform. In 2024, he started his startup named Craftyther.com, which sells Rajasthani handicraft products in the global market. Today his startup is providing employment to craftsmen who are experts in Rajasthani handicrafts. Manmohan says, “When I see that the products of Rajasthan artisans are being sold in countries like America, UK, Australia and the Middle East through my digital platform, I feel proud.” Today, more than 100 handicraft artisans have joined their company, and their products are being sold not only on their platform but also on big platforms like Amazon. This story of Manmohan proves that if a person has courage and the spirit to work hard, he can overcome every difficulty in life and become an inspiration for others.
