Chinese smartphone-maker OnePlus has announced an annual investment of ₹2,000 crore over the next three years under to accelerate innovations in products and services in India.
The investment will focus on three aspects: improving durability of devices, customer service and developing India-specific features.

India-specific
Specific to Indian customers, OnePlus said it identified advanced local AI functionalities and a demand for stable, high-speed connectivity. The company’s new OnePlus 13 Smartphone Series will deliver a 5.5G connectivity experience in India, with an average speed enhancement of 380 per cent. Additionally, it will release a customized signal optimization feature specifically for places such as Delhi Metro for better connectivity and network performance across various settings. The new smartphone devices will also introduce ‘Steady Connect’ which extends Bluetooth connection range to up to 360 m, allowing Bluetooth connection in areas of heavy traffic and interference like subway stations.
With regards to durability, OnePlus said it will create “the world’s first DisplayMate A++ display” designed for India’s sunny weather.
“The 2K 120Hz ProXDR Display’s peak brightness of 4500 nits allows for clear visibility even under the brightest sunlight, ensuring that colors remain true and images remain vivid without any washout. OnePlus provides a comfortable viewing experience that is particularly beneficial for users who spend extended periods using their devices, even in low-light conditions or during late-night use. Coupled with the touch technology inside the upcoming flagship, the new series from OnePlus is designed to offer users a seamless and intuitive experience,” said the company in a press release.

Furthermore, the company will be rolling out a Green Line Worry-Free Solution that adds a protective layer to all AMOLED displays and extends its new lifetime warranty program to all OnePlus devices against green line on display issues.
To improve user experience, OnePlus will expand its service centers by 50 percent by mid-2026. It will also enhance its online service offerings including hotline support, WhatsApp assistance, and live chat options. The company is also working on a more transparent repair process to allow users to track the progress of their service requests. OnePlus is upgrading half of its flagship retail stores to provide a better in-store experience and assisting third-party stores with enhanced service capabilities. In 2025, OnePlus increased its service centers by 22 per cent, including an 11 per cent rise in exclusive service centers directly owned by the brand.
