Ayodhya: A grand festival of lights is to be organized on the banks of Saryu in the city on 30th October. Continuous work is going on to tighten the security arrangements before this festival of lights. All security agencies have been put on alert. Meanwhile, the police have closed 17 roads leading to Ram Ki Paidi on the Saryu river. Apart from this, the police has prepared a list of names of people living in all the colonies connected to Ram Ki Paidi and Ram Path.

Only pass holders will get entry

While giving information, Ayodhya Police Station Inspector Manoj Kumar Sharma said that 17 roads connected to Ram Ki Paidi have been closed at present. These roads have been closed due to security reasons. Till Deepotsav, only those people will be able to pass through here, who have permission to do so. Only pass holders will be allowed to pass through these routes. He said that barricades have been installed on all the roads leading to Ram Ki Paidi. He said that only the volunteers deployed at the ghats, officials associated with the Deepotsav program and pass holders will get entry on these routes.

One sub-inspector and four constables deployed

Ayodhya Police Station Inspector Manoj Kumar Sharma further said that in view of the security of Ram Ki Paidi, one sub-inspector and four constables have been deployed on all the 17 link roads. Apart from this, people living in the areas adjacent to Ram Ki Paidi have been specially requested not to pass through the restricted streets nor go to the rooftops of their houses on the day of Deepotsav. For this, security personnel will be deployed on all the tall buildings in the area.

28 lakh lamps will be lit

Let us tell you that on the occasion of Chhoti Diwali on October 30, preparations are being made to create a new world record by lighting 28 lakh lamps at Ram Ki Paidi and other ghats. Regarding the festival of lights, the ghat in-charge and coordinator are regularly placing the lamps on the ghat in an organized manner. Apart from this he is guiding the volunteers. This will be the eighth Deepotsav program in Ayodhya under the rule of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. (input- agency)
