A special agreement has been reached between India and China regarding the border dispute. This step has been taken to improve diplomatic relations between the two countries. According to ANI report, India and China will complete the disengagement process along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) by Monday and Tuesday (October 28-29). After four years, the process of military withdrawal between the two countries has started.

Armies of both countries will retreat from these areas

According to Indian Army sources, ‘the recent agreements are applicable only to Depsang and Demchok. Not for other locations. This agreement will not apply to other conflict areas. It was also said in the agreement between the two countries that the soldiers of India and China will return to their previous position before April 2020. Troops from both countries will patrol the areas where they patrolled till April 2020.

Commander level meetings will continue

Even after this, regular ground commanders meetings will continue to be organized between the two countries. A certain number of soldiers have been identified in the patrolling group. To avoid any misunderstanding, each other will be informed in advance as to when we are going to patrol.

Sheds or tents will also be removed

Also all temporary infrastructure like sheds or tents and soldiers will also be removed from the disputed area. On this, both sides will keep an eye on the area. The patrolling points at Depsang and Demchok will be those points. Where Indian soldiers traditionally patrolled before April 2020.
