Congress list released for Maharashtra assembly elections.
All the parties are busy in their preparations for the Maharashtra Assembly elections 2024. The contest in the assembly elections is between Mahayuti i.e. BJP, Shiv Sena, NCP and Maha Vikas Aghadi i.e. Congress, NCP (Sharad Chandra Pawar) and Shiv Sena (UBT). Congress has released the list of total 48 candidates on Thursday. In the list of candidates released by Congress, Nana Patole has been fielded from Sakoli seat, Vijay Vedattiwar from Brahmapuri and Vijay Balasaheb Thorat from Sangamner seat. The Central Election Committee of the Congress Party has selected the following candidates for the Maharashtra Assembly elections.,
Seat sharing formula decided
Regarding seat distribution in Maha Vikas Aghadi, Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole has said that we have decided that Congress, NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) and Shiv Sena (UBT) will contest elections on 85-85-85 seats and we will contest on the remaining 18 seats. Will hold talks with Samajwadi Party and its alliance parties.
