The rate of 22 carat gold in Ghaziabad is ₹71,290 and the rate of 24 carat gold is ₹77,760. The same rates are applicable in Noida and Meerut also. According to Anil Gupta, due to the beginning of the festive season, the demand for gold and silver is gradually increasing in the markets. The decline in the prices of gold and silver in the last few days has increased again today. People have started shopping for weddings and festivals, and by Diwali, there may be a further rise in the prices of gold and silver.
difference between 22 and 24 carat
24 carat gold is 99.9% pure, while 22 carat gold is approximately 91% pure. 9% other metals like copper, silver, and zinc are mixed in 22 carat gold, from which jewelery is made. Since 24 carat gold is very pure, jewelery cannot be made from it, hence most of the shopkeepers sell gold in 22 carat only.
