He said that the state government will not rest until the culprits are punished. Maharashtra’s senior leader Baba Siddiqui, who left the Congress and joined the Ajit Pawar-led NCP, was shot by three people on Saturday night outside the office of his MLA son Zeeshan Siddiqui in Kher Nagar of Bandra area in Mumbai.

Baba Siddiqui was immediately taken to Lilavati Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. After this shocking incident, the opposition targeted the Maharashtra government and raised questions on the law and order situation in the state. Assembly elections are proposed in Maharashtra next month. Ajit Pawar reached Cooper Hospital in Mumbai on Sunday, where the post-mortem of Baba Siddiqui was conducted. He said that the NCP is deeply saddened by the death of Baba Siddiqui, who was a much-loved leader and personally he has lost a dear friend whom he knew for years.

“Don’t politicize a horrific incident.”

“We are heartbroken and are struggling to recover from the brutality of this incident. This is not just a political loss, it is a deep personal loss,” the NCP leader said in a post on ‘X’ after visiting the hospital. It is a tragedy that has shaken us all.” He said, “I strongly urge everyone not to politicize this horrific incident. This is not the time for division or to exploit the suffering of others for political gains. Our focus for now should be on ensuring justice.” “

“Government will not rest until the culprits are punished”

The Deputy Chief Minister said that the government will not rest until the culprits of the murder are punished. Pawar said, “We understand the immense grief of Baba Siddiqui’s family, who have suffered the greatest loss. Let us show respect and compassion instead of allowing opportunistic voices to turn this tragedy into a political spectacle.” Ajit Pawar’s comments come in the backdrop of his uncle and opposition NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) chief Sharad Pawar’s remarks in which he had said that people in power do not need to announce the surf probe, but they need to accept the responsibility.
