Agra. A surprising case has come to light in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. After marriage, the bride reached her in-laws’ house with dreams of a new life. The very next day of marriage, the husband started hiding his face and refused to celebrate the wedding night with his wife. The bride was stunned by this behavior of her husband. She tried to explain several times but her husband was not impressed and continued to refuse to have a relationship.
The bride lovingly wanted to know the reason from her husband. The wife asked about any deficiency in her husband and pressured him to go to the doctor. Later the husband told the truth. The bride soon realized that her in-laws had fallen short of the dowry worth lakhs. Because of this he is being treated like this. There were disagreements between husband and wife after six months of marriage. The bride alleges that she has been thrown out of her in-laws’ house. Counseling was also done but there was no benefit. Now the married woman has filed a case against her husband and in-laws in Jagdishpura police station.
The bride reached her in-laws’ house, stayed overnight, said in the morning – she will not live with her husband, the groom’s dreams were shattered.
Actually, the woman from Jagdishpura area was married to the young man from Housing Development area in January 2023. The marriage took place at a marriage home located on Delhi Highway. The victim alleges that she gave ten lakh rupees in cash for the marriage. A total of Rs 25 lakh was spent. When she left and reached her in-laws’ house, additional dowry was demanded. The in-laws demanded Rs 2 lakh in cash and a car. The husband refused to have sex until his demand was met. As a married woman, she served her husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law and sister-in-law a lot to win the hearts of her in-laws family, but she was disappointed.

Tried to convince husband but got no response. The bride also told her husband to consult a doctor. The girl alleges that in June 2024, she was thrown out of her in-laws’ house after being beaten. When a complaint was lodged with the police, the matter was sent to the Family Counseling Centre. Counselors also tried to bring about reconciliation. Finally the girl has lodged a complaint in Jagdishpura police station.
