Earlier, hundreds of workers met former Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar at Govind Bagh in Baramati. Demanding to make Yugendra Pawar a candidate, the workers said that they want to replace Baramati’s grandfather (Ajit Pawar). Interestingly, in three-four meetings, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had indicated that he would not contest elections from Baramati Assembly. But, on Tuesday, thousands of workers stopped Ajit Pawar’s car convoy and adopted an aggressive stance and said that he should announce his candidature. Shortly after this, Ajit Pawar group leader Praful Patel has announced that Ajit Pawar will contest the assembly elections from Baramati. Everyone’s eyes are on whether there will really be a contest between uncle and nephew in the upcoming elections.

Meanwhile, when Supriya Sule and Rohit Pawar were asked about this, both of them gave easy answers. He said that a delegation had come from Baramati.
