Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA government of discrimination. Reddy said the central government discriminates against southern states in terms of fund allocation and development projects. Taking aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Reddy asked what has the Center done for the country? The Telangana Chief Minister also alleged that BJP raises emotional issues to win elections and tries to break other parties.

‘An attempt to bring South-North division in the country’

Revanth Reddy sarcastically said that the contribution of the NDA government was that it brought 3 black agricultural laws (which have now been repealed) and created unemployment in the country. He said, ‘You are trying to bring South-North division in the country. Whenever the Congress was in power, whenever a Congress leader was the Prime Minister, there was a tradition of giving the post of President to South India when a leader from North India became the Prime Minister. Reddy claimed that many leaders from the South, from Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy to APJ Abdul Kalam, became President under the agreement between the North and the South.

‘You are trying to spread hatred’

Telangana The CM said, ‘But you have refused to give anything to the South. You want our votes, our money. But you are instead trying to spread hatred. He said that BJP and Modi’s focus is only on winning the elections. Chief Minister Reddy alleged that Telangana and other southern states were not getting their fair share in proportion to their contribution to the Union treasury. He also accused BJP and BRS of trying to stop the progress of Telangana. Let us tell you that Reddy often keeps targeting BJP and Modi government on various issues.
