राहुल गांधी मीटिंग में बताते ही रह गए हरियाणा में मिली हार के कारण, नहीं पहुंचे हुड्‌डा-उदयभान

Chandigarh. A meeting of party leaders was held at the residence of Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday to review the reasons for the unexpected defeat in Haryana elections. In the meeting, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi appeared angry over the defeat. He enumerated the reasons for the defeat and bluntly said that in the entire election, the party’s interest remained secondary and the interest of the leaders was dominant. Rahul said that the interest of the leaders remained high in Haryana, due to which the interest of the party went down. Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupender Singh Hooda and Haryana Congress President Uday Bhan did not attend the meeting.

In the meeting, it was decided to form a fact finding committee to find out the reasons for the defeat. The committee will go to Haryana and discuss with the leaders and prepare a report and submit it to the high command. Which faces will be included in the committee has not been decided yet. The meeting lasted for about half an hour. The issue of differences between Hooda-Sailaja also came up in the meeting. On this, Congress leader Ajay Maken said that the reasons for the defeat included everything from the Election Commission to mutual differences among the leaders.

Sirsa MP Kumari Selja and Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Surjewala, Lalu Yadav’s close friend and Congress leader Captain Ajay Yadav were not invited to the meeting.

After the meeting, Ajay Maken said, ‘Media people would also agree that the results of Haryana were unexpected. There was a huge difference between the exit polls and the actual results. What could be the different reasons for the defeat in Haryana were discussed. He also said that whatever further steps will be taken, information about them will be given later.
