राहुल की बात मानते हुड्डा तो नहीं होती किरकिरी, BJP ने हाथों-हाथ लपका मौका, हरियाणा में मजबूत हुआ ये बाहरी दल

highlights

Rahul Gandhi had warned Bhupendra Singh Hooda a month ago.The former CM of Haryana ignored it in overconfidence.Taking advantage of this, BJP scored a hat-trick of victories in Haryana.

New Delhi, If the Bharatiya Janata Party has scored a hat-trick of victories in the Haryana elections, it would not be wrong if the credit for this is given to the party’s local leadership and excellent teamwork. After the poor performance of the party in the Lok Sabha elections 2024, such reports started coming out that the situation of BJP in Haryana is not very good. One mistake of former Haryana CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda also ruined the party’s return to power in the state after 10 years. Leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi repeatedly tried to convince Bhupendra Singh Hooda for an alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party in the state, but the former CM was so adamant to ‘go alone’ that Rahul Gandhi could not do anything even if he wanted to.

Rahul Gandhi had held a meeting with Haryana Congress leaders about a month ago. There was discussion in this meeting regarding the preparations for Haryana elections. Rahul Gandhi had then advised the top leadership of the party that Congress should explore the possibilities of alliance in the state with India Alliance partner Aam Aadmi Party. Actually, Rahul Gandhi wanted to keep BJP away from power in Haryana by any means. Then Bhupendra Singh Hooda did not directly refuse Rahul Gandhi but he was not showing any interest in the alliance.

Bhupendra Singh Hooda’s overconfidence
After this statement of Rahul Gandhi, Aam Aadmi Party leaders also came forward. After which discussions regarding alliance started between both the parties. The matter could not be resolved regarding seat sharing. AAP was adamant on 10 seats whereas Congress party did not want to give them more than 4 to 5 seats. On behalf of Aam Aadmi Party, Raghav Chadha spoke to the leaders of Haryana Congress. Bhupendra Singh Hooda was so excited by the political pundits and the survey reports coming out before the elections that he finally convinced Rahul Gandhi to follow the principle of Ekala Chala.

AAP’s strength doubled in the state
Haryana Congress not only had to pay the price of this small mistake of Bhupendra Singh Hooda by staying away from power in the elections, but now the strength of Aam Aadmi Party has almost doubled in Haryana as compared to the assembly elections held in the year 2019. Even though Arvind Kejriwal’s party could not win even a single seat in the Haryana elections, it still managed to get 1.79 percent votes in the state. In the elections held five years ago, AAP got about one percent votes in Haryana. In such a situation, the strength of AAP, which is running the government in Delhi and Punjab, has now doubled in terms of vote share in Haryana.

Benefit of alliance with AAP in Lok Sabha elections
During the Lok Sabha elections, Congress had given one seat to AAP in Haryana as part of its alliance. Congress contested the remaining nine seats. Due to which votes were saved from getting divided. Congress won five out of nine seats. If there had been an alliance between Congress and AAP in the Haryana Assembly elections on the same formula, then it would have definitely won the seats where the Congress party had missed winning by one thousand to three thousand votes. In such a situation, even by giving 10 seats to AAP, Congress would have easily succeeded in forming the government in the state after 10 years. Rahul Gandhi had recognized this mathematics a month ago, but Bhupendra Hooda failed to recognize it.
